  • Meter Reader I
    $3,140 to $3,826 per month (This is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt position)This is a entry level class in the meter reading series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn District procedures and meter reading and repair methods and techniques. As experience is gained, there is greater independence of action within established guidelines. This class is alternatively staffed with Meter Reader II, and incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating proficiency which meets the qualifications of the higher class.

  • Executive Secretary
    $4,418 to $ 5,383 per month (This is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt position)
    Under direction of the General Manager, provides varied and confidential administrative assistance, secretarial and clerical assistance to the General Manager and District administrative staff; maintains District mastercalendar; performs related work as assigned. This class performs difficult administrative and secretarial/clerical duties for the General Manager and administrative staff involving the use of considerable independent judgment and has frequent contact with all District employees and the Board of Directors. The incumbent prepares agenda packets for Board meetings; maintains the District's master calendar, and records management program

  • Senior Project Engineer
    $6,217 To $7,575 per month (This is a full-time, benefited, exempt position)
    Under general supervision, this position plans, organizes, and coordinates a variety of complex design and construction activities, major capital improvement projects, as well as supervises professional and technical engineering staff, consultants, professional service firms, and may act as Department Manager in the absence of the Engineering Manager.

Employee Benefit Summary

District beneft include:

  • payment of 100% of the premium cost for health, dental, and vision for all employees, and two-thirds of the premium cost for dependents
  • participation in the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (2% @ 55) and pays the employee 7% PERS retirement contribution
  • a “9/80” alternative work schedule

Leave Accrual
Employees accrue ten days of vacation annually. After five years of service with the District, employees accrue vacation at the rate of 15 days annually; after 15 years, employees accrue vacation at the rate of 20 days per year.

Sick Leave
Sick Leave is accrued at a rate of one day per month. Upon retirement, employees are eligible to receive three-eighths of their unused sick leave balance in cash. The remaining five-eighths are added to their service time for PERS retirement calculation.

Holidays
The District observes eleven paid holidays per year.

Salary Range
Salary is composed of nine steps, each approximately two and a half percent apart. Advancements through the steps are made annually and based on performance. An employee who receives a “meets expectations” evaluation will be entitled to move one (1) step, and an employee who receives an “exceeds job expectations” evaluation will be allowed to move up two (2) steps.
