Tom Lindsey

Director Lindsey was appointed to the Board in January 2021.

65-year-old Tom Lindsey is a 36 year resident of Yorba Linda who lives in the Travis Country homes as an original owner. He and his wife Nannette, who teaches music, have been married for 42 years and have raised their two boys and two girls in Yorba Linda, with three graduating from El Dorado High School and one from Esperanza High School. Director Lindsey has owned four businesses, providing medical equipment to hospitals throughout the States of California and Nevada. He is now Senior Vice President for a national provider of medical equipment to hospitals. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Brigham Young University in Microbiology, where he received a scholarship in Track and Field as a High Jumper.

Director Lindsey is fluent in Spanish, having served in Argentina for two years as a missionary for his church, in which he has served as Bishop. He has served as a Unit Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, as the Chief Financial Officer for the Yorba Linda Civic Light Opera, and was the Chairman of “Campaign for Kids”, the Measure Y School Bond Measure which allowed the building of Yorba Linda High School and the modernization of each school within our District. Subsequently, he served 6 ½ years on the Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee to assure the propriety of all expenditures of Measure Y funds.

Director Lindsey served 8 years on the Yorba Linda City Council and two terms as Mayor. He is currently completing his 8th year as a member of the Governing Board of Placentia Linda Hospital.

His passions are basketball, pickleball, and politics, but his true love is his 11 grandchildren and sharing amazing sunsets with his family on his houseboat at Lake Powell.
