Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD) has been proactive in keeping the health and safety of our customers and employees as our top priority. We are closely monitoring events and public health recommendations from local, state, and federal authorities regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have made some accommodations to address some growing concern:

Water Quality and Reliability

First and foremost, we would like to assure customers that your drinking water is safe to drink. While many businesses have been ordered to shut-down, we continue to operate and conduct water quality sampling every day. Our water meets and exceeds both the state and federal drinking water standards.

Currently, all of YLWD’s drinking water is supplied by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) imported water connection. COVID-19 cannot be transmitted through potable water.

Temporarily Suspend Water Shut-Offs Due to Non-Payment

YLWD will temporarily suspend water shut-offs due to non-payment bills due to financial hardships due to the impacts of COVID-19. Our customers will continue to receive safe and reliable water and sewer service during this time of emergency without interruptions.

Wipes

As a reminder, please flush only the 3 P’s (pee, poo, and toilet paper). Flushable wipes, disinfecting wipes, and paper towels may cause backups and overflow at wastewater facilities. Please dispose of these items in the trashcan.
