AVID Students Tour YLWD’s PFAS Water Treatment Plant

YLWD had the pleasure of hosting four field trips for over 100 local high school seniors from El Dorado, Esperanza, Yorba Linda, and Valencia High School. These students, all part of the AVID college-prep program, gained insights into the importance of conserving water, where local and imported water comes from, and received a behind-the-scenes look at the nation’s largest PFAS Water Treatment Plant! In addition, students learned about all the rewarding careers that the water industry has to offer.
