YLWD was a Presenter at OCWD's Children's Water Festival!

On April 15-16, the Orange County Water District hosted its 29th annual Children’s Water Education Festival, where third, fourth, and fifth grade Orange County students learn all about water. The Yorba Linda Water District was excited to be one of over 50 presenters for the second year in a row, with over 350 student participants!

YLWD’s Public Affairs Team hosted an interactive Water Cycle Display with an accompanying Build-Your-Own Keychain Activity, with each bead on the keychain representing an important part of the water cycle. Afterwards, students were able to spin a trivia wheel and win amazing prizes!

This festival provides presenters an opportunity to educate young students about water related issues in each Orange County region. Presenters include Orange County cities, water agencies, and partners like the Santa Ana Zoo, the Discovery Cube, Disneyland Resort, and many more!

YLWD is a proud sponsor of OCWD’s award-winning Water Festival, which has amassed over 160,000 student participants since its inception. YLWD was grateful to participate in this educational opportunity and commends the OCWD team for putting on a successful event!
