On Tuesday, August 19th, YLWD Director Brett R. Barbre, hosted an infrastructure tour for customers and members of our community. The tour highlighted the District’s most critical infrastructure and and attendees gained insight into how YLWD provides safe and reliable drinking water to our community every single day.

Attendees started with a tour of our J. Wayne Miller, Ph.D. Water Treatment Plant, then loaded into a van and visited a number of facilities including our Highland Reservoir & Booster Pump Station, Fairmont Reservoir and Booster Pump Station, and ended at our Wells Fargo Heli-Hydrant. Other stops included a visit to YLWD’s Emergency Backup Generator at the Elk Mountain Reservoir and one of YLWD’s imported water source connections.
