YLWD Hosts Young Civic Leaders Academy for a Day of Learning and Career Exploration

On November 1, the Young Civic Leaders Academy, led by City of Yorba Linda Mayor Pro-Tem Tara Campbell, visited YLWD. Local high school students had the opportunity to tour our PFAS Water Treatment Plant and engage in YLWD’s Career Roundtable. Councilwoman Janice Lim also joined in on the event to support these young talents. Staff from various departments, including accounting, engineering, public affairs, and production, shared their experiences and insights into the water industry.

The enthusiastic group of students left feeling inspired and excited about the many possibilities of a career in this rewarding industry. We are thrilled to see such young leaders already so involved in their community and eager to make a difference in the future!
