A Tale of Two Treatment Plants: YLWD Hosts Behind-the-Scenes Water Tour
On November 3, 2026, YLWD Director Trudi DesRoches led a special behind-the-scenes tour of two important water treatment facilities: YLWD’s J. Wayne Miller, Ph.D. Water Treatment Plant and the Metropolitan Water District’s Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the different treatment processes, explore critical water infrastructure, and better understand the coordination and collaboration involved in delivering safe, reliable drinking water to homes and businesses throughout YLWD’s service area.
