YLWD celebrated the completion of the newly upgraded Timber Ridge Booster Pump Station with a plaque unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the completion of a significant $6.2 million project designed to provide improved reliability and emergency preparedness, while ensuring efficiency and consistent water service during everyday operations.

The 2025 Best of Yorba Linda contest featured 403 contenders across 60 categories, representing a wide range of industries, including small businesses, non-profits, public utilities, and more. Among them, Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD) was nominated for Best Utility Services Provider.

YLWD proudly celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of our nation. In partnership with USA 250–OC, YLWD is honored to commemorate this historic milestone in American history.

On Wednesday, October 8, YLWD hosted Councilwoman Tara Campbell’s Young Civic Leaders Academy, along with Mayor Janice Lim. 19 enthusiastic local high school students with aspirations in public service were welcomed by YLWD Board Directors Brett R. Barbre, Trudi DesRoches, and General Manager Mark Toy.

The Orange County Water District hosted the Orange County Grand Jury on a facilities tour, and YLWD’s J. Wayne Miller, Ph.D. Water Treatment Plant was a featured stop. The tour group began with a brief presentation, featuring insights from YLWD Director Brett R. Barbre and General Manager Mark Toy.

In 2024, YLWD conducted over 23,000 analyses and is proud to report that our water system has always complied with state and federal drinking water regulations and water quality standards. In some cases, we go beyond what is required by providing additional monitoring for contaminants that may have health risks.

YLWD is requesting proposals to provide Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for On-Call Land Surveying Services and On-Call Geotechnical Observation & Material Testing Services. Both contracts are on an as-needed basis for various water and wastewater projects and tasks in compliance with the District’s policies and standards.

On May 28, 2025, YLWD received the District Transparency Certificate of Excellence by the Special District Leadership Foundation in recognition of its outstanding efforts to promote transparency and good governance.
“This award is a testament to the District’s commitment to open and transparent government,” said Mark Toy, General Manager.

Each year, water agencies across the state of California celebrate May as Water Awareness Month. To celebrate, the District hosted an informative infrastructure tour led by Board Director Trudi DesRoches on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. This event provided customers and members of our community with a behind-the-scenes look at YLWD’s state-of-the-art facilities, highlighting the District’s commitment to providing high-quality, reliable water and sewer services.
