Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD) held a public hearing on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 4:30 P.M. to consider proposed water and sewer rate schedules from the 2026 Rate Study.

On April 6th, 2026 the Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD/District) welcomed Congresswoman Young Kim and her staff for an on-site tour of the future location of the District’s Well 23 Groundwater Well Project, an important step forward in strengthening local water reliability.

As a part of the District’s rate study outreach efforts, Yorba Linda Water District hosted three “Behind the Bill Tours,” to provide customers a behind-the-scenes experience designed to help them understand water and sewer rates and see how their investment is put to work.

The Yorba Linda Water District has been awarded $1.105 million in federal funding to advance the design of Well 23, a critical groundwater infrastructure project that will strengthen local water reliability and reduce dependence on imported water supplies.
On December 19, 2023, the State Water Resources Control Board adopted the Cross-Connection Control Policy Handbook which became effective on July 1, 2024. This new legislation requires all public water agencies, including Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD), to review customer properties for possible cross-connection hazards. To meet state requirements, YLWD has developed a Cross-Connection Control Management Plan to help keep our water safe.

New facility in Orange County will provide firefighters critical access to water supply for aerial suppression of wildfires.

On Monday, May 12, firefighters battled the Sapphire Fire at Chino Hills State Park. The fire was first reported at 2:49 PM in the 4700 block of Sapphire Road within Chino Hills State Park. Early assessments estimated the fire at 1–2 acres with a slow rate of spread.
