On January 11, 2024, YLWD administered the oath of office to the former City of Yorba Linda Mayor, Mr. Gene Hernandez. Director Hernandez will be serving in an interim capacity until the general election in November 2024.

On December 11, 2023, the Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD/District) Board of Directors hosted a special dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Well 22, a significant water supply source for the 80,000 customers the District serves.
