Sewer Rates & Fees

On June 12, 2025, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution Nos. 2025-11 and 2025-12 adjusting water and sewer rates and charges with an effective date of July 1, 2025. On July 10, 2025 the Board of Directors also adopted Ordinance Nos. 2025-02 and 2025-03 adjusting water and sewer development and customer service fees with an effective date of August 9, 2025.

Residential & Commercial Rates

The District collects the Sewer Maintenance Charge by adding it to the water bill of customers where the District provides water service and the customer also has a sewer connection.

Residential Notes

“Locke Ranch” customers do not receive water service or a bill from the District. The California Health and Safety Code authorizes the District to levy a sewer maintenance charge outside of its political boundary and authorizes the County of Orange Auditor/Controller to collect the charge on the property tax roll.
All single-family homes with sewers previously administered by the City of Yorba Linda are charged per month on the water bill. The District collects the multi-family Sewer Maintenance Charge in the same manner that the City of Yorba Linda did previously – on the property tax roll.

Commercial-Industrial and Public Schools Notes

The first 700 cubic feet of water consumption per month is covered by the Monthly Sewer Charge. All water consumption in excess of 700 cubic feet per month will be charged at the Sewer Usage Rate.
For customers who have a sewer meter or who can demonstrate to the District’s satisfaction that 100% of the water meter reading ends up in the District’s sewer system, the first 700 cubic feet per month of water consumption per month is covered by the Monthly Sewer Charge. All water consumption in excess of 700 cubic feet per month will be charged at the Sewer Usage Rate.
