YLWD is a Presenter at OCWD’s Children’s Water Festival

On April 23-24, for the first time, YLWD was a featured presenter in the Orange County Water District’s Children’s Water Education Festival, engaging with 400 students in our booth at Oak Canyon Park. Over 50 booths and hundreds of presenters inspired and educated over 6,000 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders about the importance of water while aligning with state curriculum. Classes who signed up for YLWD’s booth learned about the water cycle through an interactive display and build-your-own key chains with beads that represent each important step in the journey of a water molecule.

YLWD Welcomes AWWA’s Water Conference of the West

On April 8th, YLWD’s J. Wayne Miller, Ph.D. Water Treatment Plant was a featured tour during the American Water Works Association’s Water Conference of the West in Anaheim, California. A diverse group of water experts from AWWA’s California-Nevada sector shuttled to District Headquarters for an informative presentation and guided tour of our flagship ion-exchange PFAS water treatment plant.
