YLWD has completed the Lead Service Line Initial Inventory (LSLI) required by U.S. EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions LCRR.
Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 8:30 a.m., the Board of Directors will conduct a public hearing to consider adoption of an Ordinance entitled: Setting Compensation for Members of the Board Pursuant to Section 20200 et seq. of the California Water Code.
The Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) and Participating Agencies, including YLWD, are preparing an update to its Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP). This plan will help create a safer community for residents, businesses, and visitors.
California recently adopted a regulation for Making Conservation a California Way of Life. The regulation sets new, permanent water use budgets for YLWD’s entire service area—not individual customers or businesses.

YLWD’s Water Quality Division would like to invite you to take part in our FREE Triennial Lead and Copper Monitoring Program. If you participate, you will receive a copy of a lab analysis indicating the levels of lead and copper in a water sample collected from your home.
On May 8, 2024, Yorba Linda Water District proudly received an award for the District’s Wells Fargo Heli-Hydrant and Landing Zone in the Community Safety and Resilience Excellence category at the Association of California Cities, Orange County Leadership Summit and Golden Hub of Innovation Awards Ceremony.
On April 16th, 2024, YLWD re-dedicated the nation’s largest PFAS Water Treatment Plant to Dr. J. Wayne Miller, the former Board President who oversaw its development.
